BIDEN’S LEGACY: The Man Who Did Nothing | Steve Berman

BIDEN’S LEGACY: The Man Who Did Nothing | Steve Berman

President Joe Biden has been in politics his whole adult life and is desperately searching for a legacy to be remembered by, other than not being Donald Trump. Nobody wants to help him. Not Barack Obama, who overshadowed Biden for eight years. Not Joe Manchin, who is functionally in control of Biden’s legislative agenda. Not Kamala …

That “Splat” is the Internet Hitting the Wall | Steve Berman

That sound you heard yesterday was the “splat” when the Internet ran straight into the wall of Gall’s Law. Amazon Web Services experienced a rather large glitch on Tuesday, and seemingly half the Internet glitched with it. Amazon is, so far, being very circumspect in explaining why, but you can be sure it’s probably some simple thing …

Broken | Steve Berman

This family destroyed the lives of four others, and their own lives are also destroyed. I can’t imagine the pain of losing a teenage child to a murderer. If there’s a Hell on earth, texting “Ethan, don’t do it.” to your son after he’s taken four lives almost assuredly grants a parent entrance to it. If …

SOTOMAYOR: From Whence The “Stench” Comes | Steve Berman

I am not shocked that today’s AP article on the Supreme Court’s oral argument on Dobbs v. Jackson, the case seeking to uphold a Mississippi abortion ban mentions Donald Trump five times, more than any Justice on the Court.  Justice Sonia Sotomayor asked pro-Mississippi lawyers, “Will this institution survive the stench that this creates in the public perception …

Singing Kum-bah-yah While China Prepares For War | Steve Berman

The more I read about climate change, the more I am concluding it’s a real thing. What’s not real is the Kum-bah-yah global cooperation statements produced by the poobahs that gather at conferences like COP26. None of them believe it, especially China and Russia. Read this important essay published in Foreign Affairs about the geopolitics of green energy. The relationship between …

Omicron: Camping in Maskville Forever | Steve Berman

The “Omicron” variant has spread from South Africa, via…a Portuguese professional soccer team. The AP reports that 13 members of the Beleneses soccer club tested positive for Omicron after they traveled to South Africa. Dr. Anthony Fauci briefed President Biden on the new variant, then told CNN he needed more data before recommending a travel ban; afterward Biden signed a travel …

SHOTS FIRED: Goldberg Goes Full John Galt | Steve Berman

Jonah Goldberg, a longtime Fox News contributor, who frequently appeared on panels seated next to the iconic Charles Krauthammer, has quit Fox, along with his partner at The Dispatch, Steve Hayes. The reason given for the sudden departure is Tucker Carlson’s subscription-only streaming series Patriot Purge, a pure fan fiction piece served up as an “exposé” of how …

RITTENHOUSE: To the Jury, Then the People | Steve Berman

Kyle Rittenhouse’s trial in in the jury’s hands, and with it a whole lot of cultural cloth that has been woven around it. In case you haven’t been glued to the television, here’s where things sit: The prosecution contended that Rittenhouse intentionally killed Anthony Huber and Gaige Grosskreutz, recklessly killed Joseph Rosenbaum, and recklessly endangered …

WAR CRIME COVERUP: Did the U.S. Murder 70 Civilians in Syria in 2019? | Steve Berman

The New York Times broke a story over the weekend that in the waning days of the Syria campaign against ISIS, in 2019, the U.S. military killed dozens of civilians in a refugee camp called Baghuz, dropping a 500-pound bomb on a crowd of women and children. Then another jet dropped a 2,000-pound bomb on the survivors, …
