WHOOPI OUT AT THE VIEW: Goldberg Suspended for Saying Holocaust ‘Not About Race’

She couldn’t talk her way out of this one.

After two failed non-apology attempts, ABC News President Kim Godwin has announced Whoopi Goldberg will receive a two-week suspension for saying the Holocaust was “not about race.”

“Effective immediately, I am suspending Whoopi Goldberg for her wrong and hurtful comments,” ABC News President Kim Godwin tweeted. “While Whoopi has apologized, I’ve asked her to take time to reflect and learn about the impact of her comments.”

“Goldberg declared repeatedly on-air that the Holocaust was “not about race” despite the systematic killing of an estimated six million Jews. Although she was apologetic, she was ultimately suspended by the network for two weeks from the show,” Fox news reports.

“Someone of her stature has to be extremely careful to use the proper language and not to perpetuate false narratives,” Holocaust survivor Sami Steigmann, 82, said in an interview with Fox News Digital on Tuesday. “I’m extremely disappointed in her for making such a stupid comment. I don’t know the motive for why she said it, but the damage has been done.”
