12-2-2021: The Omicron variant has caused an outright panic at the highest levels of our government. The Biden administration is now preparing to implement a new raft of measures to bring the new strain of COVID-19 under control–before we even know anything about it. The panicked reaction is a far cry from the confident candidate who vowed to “shut down” the virus during his 2020 campaign. Also, health bureaucrats in the U.S. and around the world have insisted that masks, social distancing, and lockdowns are effective methods of controlling the spread of COVID-19. Just stay at home! Wear the damn mask! Stay 6-feet apart! It can’t hurt, right? Well, apparently they were wrong.
