By The FirstCNN’s Brian Stelter tried desperately to save his job this week after his parent company canceled the network’s CNN+ service, saying it’s still too early to determine if the project was a “success or a failure.”
“Have you seen anything like this happen before in the media business?” asked Stelter.
“It’s too early to know if this product, if this service was a success or a failure,” he added. “You have all the haters today saying this thing was a failure. I don’t know if we can ever assess that. It didn’t have enough time because of the management’s change in direction.”
