By The FirstWhite House Press Secretary Jen Psaki refused to apologize to Border Patrol officers she accused of “whipping” Haitian migrants this week, saying she “has no update” after the agents were cleared of wrongdoing.
“The mounted Border Patrol officers the president accused of whipping migrants have been notified they will not face criminal charges, so when is the president going to apologize to them?” asked Fox News’ Peter Doocy.
“I don’t have any update on that,” said Psaki.
“You personally accused these officers of brutal and inappropriate measures. Now that they’ve been told they will not be criminally charged, will you apologize?” pressed the reporter.
“The investigation is playing out,” she added.
