WATCH: Metal Detectors Removed from House of Representatives as Republicans Take Control

Another sign of the times in the House of Representatives as metal detectors used to screen members of Congress have been removed 2 years after being installed by former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado captured the moment the contraptions were taken down on video.

Watch below:

“When I arrived in congress two years ago, Nancy Pelosi put this hunk of garbage outside the house chambers for members of congress to go through,” said Boebert. “They are being removed and we are turning Pelosi’s house back into the people’s house.”

The metal detectors were initially installed in January of 2021, just days after the January 6th capitol riot.
