Former President Donald Trump had a few words for the folks over at Twitter after the platform banned Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene for her fifth strike for violating COVID misinformation policies.
“[Twitter] shouldn’t be allowed to do business in this Country,” Trump said in a statement released by his Save America PAC. “Marjorie Taylor Greene has a huge constituency of honest, patriotic, hard-working people. They don’t deserve what’s happened to them on places like low-life Twitter and Facebook.”
Trump is encouraging social media users to “drop off Twitter and Facebook,” saying”They’re boring, have only a Radical Left point of view, and are hated by everyone. They are a disgrace to our nation.”
Twitter spoke to the Washington Examiner about the banning of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene.
“We permanently suspended the account you referenced (@mtgreenee) for repeated violations of our COVID-19 misinformation policy,” a Twitter spokesperson told the Washington Examiner.”We’ve been clear that, per our strike system for this policy, we will permanently suspend accounts for repeated violations of the policy.”
Trump signed off his message with words of support for MTG: “Keep fighting, Marjorie!”
