By The FirstFormer President Donald Trump slammed LeBron James Friday for posting “racist rants” following the police-shooting of a teenage girl in Columbus, Ohio.
“LeBron James should focus on basketball rather than presiding over the destruction of the NBA, which has just recorded the lowest television RATINGS, by far, in the long and distinguished history of the League,” Trump’s statement read.
“His RACIST rants are divisive, nasty, insulting, and demeaning. He may be a great basketball player, but he is doing nothing to bring our Country together!”
A 13-year-old girl was charged with murder this week after allegedly stabbing another teenager on Monday.
The victim -identified as Nyaria Givens- was rushed to the hospital after being slashed in the neck with a pocket knife during a verbal altercation.
“I held her. I watched her as she died. I watched her, you know. All I could do was just hold her, hold her,” said the father. “I tried. I tried to stop the bleeding.”
“Just tried my best to protect her and be the father I could be, you know? I guess I didn’t pay attention to all the other stuff that was going on around her,” he added.
