By The First26-year old Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-NC) has seen more than his fair share of controversies and ethics complaints while in office —but former President Donald Trump believes in second chances.
Trump won’t rescind his endorsement.
“At 18 years of age, Madison Cawthorn, the now 26 year old Congressman from the Great State of North Carolina, went through a life changing event the likes of which, fortunately, few people will ever have to endure. Trump wrote on TRUTH Social. “In just seconds, he lost the use of the lower half of his body, a traumatic experience to say the least. When Madison was first elected to Congress, he did a great job. Recently, he made some foolish mistakes, which I don’t believe he’ll make again … let’s give Madison a second chance!”
According to the Daily Mail, “Among the many allegations is the claim that representative for North Carolina’s 11th district provided thousands of dollars in loans and gifts to…a staff member, with whom, the complaint states, he is engaged in an improper relationship characterized by steamy postings on social media and so close that the staffer joined Cawthorn on his honeymoon to Dubai in April 2021.”
