By The FirstPresident Joe Biden continued to anger countless Americans over record-high gas prices this week when he claimed families will no longer have to worry about energy costs when everyone drives electric vehicles.
“Loosening environmental regulations won’t lower prices. But transforming our economy to run on electric vehicles, powered by clean energy, will mean that no one will have to worry about gas prices. It will mean tyrants like Putin won’t be able to use fossil fuels as a weapon,” posted the President on Twitter.
The national average for a gallon of gasoline rose to $4 this week, the highest on record and an 80% jump since the fall of 2020.
