SORRY, SORTA: NYT Reporter Admits Labeling Wuhan Leak Theory ‘RACIST’ May Have Been ‘Badly Phrased’

A reporter with the New York Times caved to public pressure and deleted a tweet that labeled the theory of COVID-19 originating in a Chinese laboratory “racist,” admitting her claim was “badly phrased.”

I deleted my earlier tweets about the origins of the pandemic because they were badly phrased. The origin of the pandemic is an important line of reporting that my colleagues are covering aggressively,” posted the journalist on Twitter.

“Someday we will stop talking about the lab leak theory and maybe even admit its racist roots. But alas, that day is not yet here,” wrote Apoorva Mandavilli in her original message.
