Rep. Lauren Boeber, one of twenty house Republicans who refuse to vote for Rep. Kevin McCarthy for speaker, is pleading with her fellow Republicans to move on. Boebert made her comments during her nominating speech for Rep. Byron Donalds on Thursday.
“We need to get to a point where we start evaluating what life after Kevin McCarthy looks like,” Boebert said to her colleagues. “America doesn’t want more talk…they want action. I want to get to work too. America is tired of rhetoric and they want results.”
Boebert’s comment came minutes before Rep. Kevin McCarthy failed, for the ninth time, to secure enough votes to become the next Speaker of the House.
