OFF THE MARX: BLM Founder Defends Luxury Homes, Claims ‘My Money is Not My Own’

The self-described ‘Marxist’ founder of ‘Black Lives Matter’ defended her impressive real estate portfolio Thursday after the New York Post published an exposé revealing she owns over $3 million in luxury properties across the United States.

“If you are a trained Marxist, if we’re talking about a kind of radical politics, that extravagant homes of any sort, or multiple properties of any sort is itself contradictory to the ideology you hold. It’s not about property per se, but it’s a contradiction between your expressed politics and your lived practice,” said one journalist.

“I think that’s a critique that’s wanting. The way that I live my life is a direct support to black people, including my black family members… For so many black folks, who are able to invest in themselves, they choose to invest in their family. That’s what I’ve chosen to do,” claimed Patrice Cullors.

“I see my money not as my own, I see it as my family’s money as well!” she added.
