By The FirstChicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot deflected any criticism of her city’s staggering murder rate this week; blaming the entire violent crime situation on COVID and “poverty.”
“What’s the hope for Chicago residents?” asked MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough.
“We are making progress in Chicago… We’ve cleared more murders this year than we have in the last ten years. There’s no question that the COVID related impact on the public safety system in Chicago is real,” claimed Lightfoot.
