‘END THE WAR ON AMERICAN ENERGY’: After Nine Days of Record Gas Prices, GOP Says Enough

According to AAA’s gas price calculator, the national average cost of a regular gallon of gasoline hit $4.567 on Wednesday morning.

“The White House has blamed Russian President Vladimir Putin for the record-high gas prices in the U.S., even coining the surge as the ‘#PutinPriceHike’ and vowing that President Biden will do everything he can to shield Americans from ‘pain at the pump,'” Fox Business reports.

Everything, except unleash the full potential of American energy production.

Prominent voices from within the GOP blasted Biden on Wednesday for refusing to take any significant action to reduce skyrocketing gas prices and the prices of everyday items.

“America has had NINE straight days of new record high gas prices. It’s time to end Biden’s war on American energy and unleash American energy dominance,” Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) tweeted.

“How out of touch could they possibly be?” said House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA). “House Democrats admit that no one in their caucus views historically high gas prices as a problem.”

“RT if you agree → Biden should be turning to AMERICAN energy producers for more oil and gas—not dictators in Venezuela, Iran, and Saudi Arabia,” House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA) said.
