By The FirstViewers of last night’s Emmy Awards were shocked to see the lack of COVID-19 prevention protocols in place. While the venue required a negative test and proof of vax, many best practices went largely ignored – including masks and distancing.
Seth Rogen addressed the elephant in the room.
“There’s way too many of us in this little room, Rogen said. They said it was outdoors. It’s not. They lied to us. We’re in a hermetically sealed tent right now. I would not have come to this. Why is there a roof? This is insane. … I went from wiping my groceries to having Paul Bettany sneeze in my face. That’s a big week.”
People watching at home shared Rogen’s shock, posting their frustrations on Twitter.
One viewer tweeted, “Hollywood stars are currently sitting together maskless in a packed room at the Emmys… meanwhile my fully vaccinated kids are forced to wear masks all day at school. What a ridiculous world we’re living in!”
“Requiring kids in school to mask up, but no masks for the Emmys?!?” asked another.
Donald Trump Jr. said, “These are the same left-wing elites who demand that 3 year olds be forced to wear masks at Preschool. Shameless.”
