By The FirstWhite House Press Secretary Jen Psaki irked millions of Americans Monday when claiming the overall economy is performing fine after a key stock market index plunged 1100 points over fears from inflation, Covid, and increased tensions with Russia.
“Does the President think it’s a big deal that the Dow Jones is down 1100 points?” asked one reporter.
“We focus on trends in the economy… The President does not look at the Stock Market as a means to judging the economy,” claimed Psaki. “Our measure of success is how working families are doing… We’ve seen a great deal of progress made on that front.
