A recent financial report released by the Clinton Foundation paints a bleak picture for the group’s future. According to the report, donations plummeted 75% over the last few years.
“Contributions fell from $29.6 million in 2019 to $16.3 million in 2020 — a 45% decline amid COVID-19 and the lockdown-induced recession,” the Daily Wire reports. “In 2016, when former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton ran for President, the group raised $62.9 million, indicating an overall 74% donation decline in a four-year period.”
Founded in 1997, the Clinton Foundation aims to “help improve public health, create economic opportunity, and inspire civic engagement” according to their website. But over the last few years, the foundation has been suspected of participating in politically motivated attacks and pay-for-play schemes.
Breitbart News tweeted, “Gee, what a shocker that donations to the crony capitalist Clinton Foundation would plummet once there’s no more power to leverage. Such a stunning development.”
