BUCKLE UP, NY! Manhattan DA to Only Seek Prison Time for Homicides, Some Violent Felonies

Newly sworn-in Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg released new guidelines regarding incarceration this week; suggesting his office will only seek prison time for homicides, some violent felonies, and white-collar crimes.

“”The Office will not seek carceral sentence other than for homicide” or “class B violent felony in which a deadly weapon causes serious injury,” said the memo.
