10 billion. Then 12 billion. Now 14 billion —Ukrainian aid is going up faster than gas prices. Rep. Lauren Boebert called out Democrats for their fiscal irresponsibility, accusing them of doing the same thing on infrastructure.
“When the Democrats saw our crumbling infrastructure, they cashed in for $1.3 trillion and only 9% went to real infrastructure. Now, they’re doing the same thing with Ukraine. Dems never let a crisis go to waste,” Boebert tweeted.
“War in Europe has focused the energies of Congress to getting something done and getting it done fast,” said Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y.
But that doesn’t mean it’s getting done correctly. Boebert also blasted “Pelosi’s minions” for sending the bill out in the middle of the night, giving members of congress no time to read what’s actually in the 2,700 page bill.
“Pelosi’s minions released a 2,700+ page omnibus spending bill after midnight that we will consider today, ~15 hours later. At a time of record inflation and wasteful spending, the proposed solution is spend, spend, spend and another $1.5 trillion bill that no one will read.”
