The walls are closing in on Governor Andrew Cuomo.
President Biden was asked to comment on the AG’s bombshell report in which it was revealed that New York Governor Andrew Cuomo sexually harassed 11 women. Biden got right to the point:
“I think he should resign. I understand that the state legislature may decide to impeach. I don’t know that for a fact,” Biden told CNN’s Kaitlan Collins.
“The call from the nation’s most powerful Democrat for Cuomo’s resignation amounts to one of the most significant rebukes yet for a governor who had been among Biden’s political allies up until a series of sexual harassment allegations were made public earlier this year. Biden had said in March that he believed Cuomo should resign if New York Attorney General Letitia James’ investigation substantiated the allegations,” CNN reports.
Cuomo released an apology video, but most people aren’t buying it. Charlotte Bennett, one of the women who came forward in the AG’s probe, told told CBS, “Publicly, he would rather play dumb. Privately, he knows that he sexually harassed staffers…I don’t want an apology. It’s not necessary. It’s fake and his propaganda video was not only uncomfortable and inappropriate but downright weird and unnecessary.”
