BERNIE VS BEZOS: ‘Am I Supposed to Be Impressed?’

The far-left wasn’t impressed with Jeff Bezos’ historic space flight yesterday. Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez lined up to take shots at the billionaire space tourist.

“Am I supposed to be impressed that a billionaire went to space while he’s paid zero in federal income taxes some years and the workers at his company struggle to afford their medical bills, rent, and food for their kids? Nope. It’s time to invest in working people here on Earth,” Sanders said on Twitter.

Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren was quick to pile on:

“It’s time for Jeff Bezos to take care of business right here on Earth and pay his fair share in taxes.”

Finally, AOC suggested Amazon customers paid for Bezos’ trip, then villainized him for ruining small businesses.

“Yes, Amazon workers did pay for this – with lower wages, union busting, a frenzied and inhumane workplace, and delivery drivers not having health insurance during a pandemic. And Amazon customers are paying for it with Amazon abusing their market power to hurt small business.”

Bezos’ 10-minute flight sets the stage for the start of commercial passenger service later this year.

Yes, Bernie. You should be impressed.
