WATCH: CDC Director Says Vaccinated Kids, Teachers Should Still Wear Masks in School

Dr. Rochelle Walensky threw more cold-water on Americans hoping to return to normal this fall, telling the country that vaccinated students and teachers should still wear marks in schools.

“We’ll work with trusted messengers for parents and kids to answer their questions as we expect more and more kids to get vaccinated,” said one official.

“After we have authorization we will work to scale-up pediatric vaccinations. That said, it will take some time. As we head into the winter months, we know we cannot be complacent,” added CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky. “We will continue to recommend masks in all schools for all people in those schools.”
