Virologist breaks down Trump’s COVID-19 treatment

Virology Professor Vincent Racaniello joined Mike Slater on Monday to explain the experimental drug that was used to treat President Trump’s COVID-19 which seems to have helped stop the virus from spreading.

He said multiple sources have confirmed that the president was given an anti-viral treatment that recently saw positive results in a trial with 250 participants adding, “Most of us can’t do that because this drug is not approved for anyone else yet.”

Racaniello added that the pre-market medication from a leading virology company is likely effective when used early in the illness to prevent it from infecting new cells.
