His answer? “I’m not anti-police. Policeman are hinderers of lawlessness in our communities… their job is to protect and to serve.”
Scott explained, “I believe most bad cops started out as good cops. No one joined the police force with bad intentions… I really believe they are a vital, essential, necessary part of any society.”
He cautioned that incidents of brutality need to be examined on a case-by-case basis, adding that racism today is more subjective than it is objective.
