By The FirstRadical Congresswoman Ilhan Omar asked President Bident to cancel “all student debt” this week, a move that would also apply to herself.
The Representative earns $174,000 a year as a sitting Member of the House.
“We’ll cancel student debt period! We’re here to tell the President that with the stroke of a pen he can, and should, and must cancel student debt. Period. We have 45 million people in this country who are shackled with student debt,” said Omar.
That’s 45 million people who are putting off that opportunity to start a business. That’s 45 million people who are putting off starting a family,” she added.
