How erasing U.S. history erodes our morality | Mike Slater

The First’s Mike Slater was joined by a top historian on Friday to better understand the role of American history in the moral fabric of our Nation.

Mike’s special guest Dr. Wilfred M. McClay presented George Washington as a perfect example of a historical leader breathing morality into the psyche of future generations by his very existence.

He called today’s ‘cancel culture’ a “poison pill of history” that prevents many young people from feeling like part of the American family.

“To feel yourself part of a story, a larger story, is to have a sense of belonging.”
