BLAME COVID: Deputy Press Secretary Blames High Prices, Empty Shelves on ‘Evolving Pandemic’

White House Deputy Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre dismissed growing criticism of the Biden administration’s handling of the economy Thursday, saying high prices and supply chain problems are a result of the “evolving pandemic.”

“We are dealing with a historic and evolving pandemic that is impacting our economy,” said the Deputy Press Secretary. “That’s what people have been dealing with.”
