WARREN: ‘Black Farmers Have Faced a Long History of Discrimination, I Want Answers!’

Senator Elizabeth Warren demanded the Federal Government “address” discrimination against “Black farmers” this week; saying the group has been “stripped of farmland and denied their civil rights.”

“Black farmers have faced a long history of discrimination — they’ve been stripped of farmland, denied access to relief, and their civil-rights claims have been ignored. @SenBooker @SenatorWarnock & I want answers on what @USDA is doing to address this,” posted Warren on Twitter.

“Farmers of color have experienced discrimination, including land and wealth loss, been denied access to federal relief and support programs, and had their civil-rights claims ignored,” states a letter from Senators Warren and Booker.
