U-TURN! Fauci Insists ‘Pandemic is Ongoing’ After Saying ‘Pandemic is Over’

Dr. Anthony Fauci confused millions of Americans this week when he insisted the Covid-19 pandemic is “ongoing” just hours after telling the public it was “over.”

“We are certainly right now in this country out of the pandemic phase. Namely, we don’t have 900,000 new infections a day and tens and tens and tens of thousands of hospitalizations and thousands of deaths. We are at a low level right now,” Fauci told PBS News on April 26th.

“I want to clarify one thing. I probably should have said the acute component of the pandemic phase. And, I understand how that can lead to some misinterpretation,” he explained a short time later. “By no means does that mean the pandemic is over.”

“The world is still in a pandemic. There’s no doubt about that. Don’t anybody get any misinterpretation of that. We are still experiencing a pandemic,” Fauci said.

Fauci also confirmed this week that he will not attend the White House Correspondence Dinner to limit his exposure to the virus.
