TRUMP v. BIDEN: New Poll Shows Trump Would Win If Election Held Today

Biden’s botched Afghanistan withdrawal is tanking his approval and a new poll shows Trump is primed to make a comeback.

President Biden’s FiverThirtyEight approval average dipped below 50% for the first time – a far cry from the nearly 55% approval rating he enjoyed in February. Now, the honeymoon is over.

“[Biden’s] approval rating also slipped below 50% in the RealClearPolitics average of polls. It now sits at 49.4% as of Monday. While a whopping 47.2% disapprove of his performance,” Independent Chronicle reports. “Reuters also released a poll earlier this week showing Biden’s approval rating slipped to 46%.”

Bad news for the President. Not surprising considering the chaos in Kabul. But while voters are cold on Joe, they seem to be warming to an old familiar face.

A Rasmussen Reports poll found that, by a six-point margin, 43%-37%, likely voters would pick Trump over Biden “if the next presidential election were held today.”
