TOO LITTLE, TOO LATTE: Starbucks Kills Vaccine Mandate for US Employees

Starbucks abruptly suspended the corporation’s Covid vaccine mandate Wednesday following a Supreme Court decision blocking Joe Biden’s injection requirement, a move that applies to all 234,000 US-based employees.

“Starbucks Corp (SBUX.O) suspended COVID-19 vaccine-or-test requirement for U.S. employees that had been mandated by the government, according to a memo sent to workers on Tuesday, following an adverse U.S. Supreme Court ruling,” reports Reuters.

“We respect the court’s ruling and will comply,” Starbucks Chief Operating Officer John Culver wrote in the memo.

“While the E.T.S. is now paused, I want to emphasize that we continue to believe strongly in the spirit and intent of the mandate,” Mr. Culver wrote.
