TONE-DEAF CUOMO: Pandemic a ‘Tremendous Personal Benefit’ After Huge Book Deal

First the sexual harassment allegations and nursing home death cover ups, then the lucrative book deal. That’s how it goes, right?

NY Governor Andrew Cuomo is taking a victory lap, promoting his memoir America In Crisis: Leadership Lessons from the COVID-19 Crisis; Cuomo was paid more than $5 million in the deal.

“Very few people were going through what we went through and we went through it together,” Cuomo said. “And speaking for myself, it was a tremendous personal benefit.”

But not everyone thinks the victory lap is deserved.

According to The New York Post, “Cuomo’s controversial book deal is the subject of pending probes by federal and state officials who are also investigating his administration’s cover-up of the state’s nursing home death toll from COVID-19.”

Tracey Alvino, whose dad, Daniel, died of COVID-19 in a Long Island nursing had a reality check for Cuomo:

“Fifteen thousand senior citizens in nursing homes were killed because of his fatally flawed decisions that were not based on science…His personal benefit was $5.1 million in his bank account from his book.”
