THIS IS REAL: NYC Official Tells Businesses to ‘Call a Neighbor’ -Not Police- During ‘Conflicts’

New York City Council Member Tiffany Cabán confused millions of Big Apple Dwellers this week when she urged business owners to “call a neighbor” if a conflict occurs on their premises.

and my offices collaborated on. We’re distributing them to local businesses, so our neighborhood is equipped with better ways of solving problems than simply summoning police every time a challenge arises,” posted the politician on Twitter.

“Are you encountering a conflict that appears to be escalating?”  asks the guidelines.

“Call a neighbor- Getting to know and trust your neighbors is one step towards creating a safe community,” it states.
