TAKE THAT, TWITS: Musk Trolls Twitter With Meme in Response to Legal Battle Talks

World’s richest man and almost-Twitter owner Elon Musk responded to Twitter’s threats of legal action Monday after the Tesla CEO backed terminated his $44 billion-dollar offer for lack of transparency.

Musk says Twitter was not forthcoming with accurate numbers for fake, bot accounts and posted the following amid threats of legal action from the blue bird.

“They said I couldn’t buy Twitter,” the meme begins. “Then they wouldn’t disclose bot info.”

“Now they want to force me to buy Twitter in court,” the meme continues. “Now they have to disclose bot info in court.”

From The Daily Wire:

Musk’s legal team sent a letter to Twitter Chief Legal Officer Vijaya Gadde on Friday that stated Musk was terminating the purchase because “Twitter is in material breach of multiple provisions of that Agreement, appears to have made false and misleading representations upon which Mr. Musk relied when entering into the Merger Agreement, and is likely to suffer a Company Material Adverse Effect.”

The chair of Twitter’s board, Bret Taylor, responded to the move from Musk on Friday evening by writing: “The Twitter Board is committed to closing the transaction on the price and terms agreed upon with Mr. Musk and plans to pursue legal action to enforce the merger agreement. We are confident we will prevail in the Delaware Court of Chancery.”
