SHOW UP OR GET OUT: Musk Says Remote Work Over at Tesla, Employees Who Don’t Like it Can ‘Pretend to Work Somewhere Else’

For Elon Musk and Tesla —the days of remote working are over.

According to an internal memo, Tesla Boss Elon Musk wants all hands on deck back at Tesla HQ —now. “Elaborating on [the] memo…Musk shared in a tweet that he has told his top executives that they must return to ‘the office for a minimum (and I mean *minimum*) of 40 hours per week or depart Tesla. This is less than we ask of factory workers,'” Newsmax reports.

If that is not acceptable to any executive, then they are free to “pretend to work somewhere else,” Musk tweeted.

Musk emphasized that execs and others who return to the office must work from “a main Tesla office, not a remote branch office unrelated to the job duties (or) in another state.”
