New York City Mayor Eric Adams is already in deep discussions over what to do about COVID booster mandates for city workers.
“We’re going to examine the numbers. If we feel we need to get to the place of making that mandatory, we are going to do that,” Adams said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week with George Stephanopoulos,” calling it his administration’s “next move and decision.” “But we’re encouraging them to do that now.”
“We are at a critical moment in our fight against the pandemic,” Adams says.
According to Fox News, a spokesperson for Adams’ office says there will be no additional comments on the matter.
Former Mayor de Blasio was also a huge fan of mandates. De Blasio was responsible for the “Key to NYC” program, the first-in-nation vaccination mandate for workers and customers at indoor dining, fitness, entertainment and performance venues.
Is Adams de Blasio 2.0?
“Adams released two signed orders on Saturday that will continue state of emergency regulations put in place under the previous administration – including mandating vaccination for private-sector employees – and extend proof of vaccination requirements,” Fox News reports.
Maybe he is de Blasio 2.0.
