PUNCH DRUNK PAUL: Pelosi’s Husband Charged with DUI for Napa Crash

Paul Pelosi – the husband of Speaker Nancy Pelosi- was formally charged with a DUI Thursday for crashing his car in Napa Valley, California.

From Fox News:

Paul Pelosi, the husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., was charged on Thursday with DUI with injury by the Napa County District Attorney’s Office after he was involved in a crash on May 28.

A press release from the district attorney’s office states that Paul Pelosi had a blood alcohol content level of .082% after the crash, and said the blood sample was taken at 12:32 a.m., which was two hours after the collision occurred at 10:17 p.m.

The charges filed against Paul Pelosi are considered misdemeanor over felony charges, and the press release states that the decision for pressing misdemeanor charges were based “upon the extent of the injuries suffered by the victim.”

The punishment for misdemeanor DUI includes “up to five years of probation, a minimum of five days in jail, installation of an ignition interlock device, fines and fees, completion of a court ordered drinking driver class, and other terms as appropriate,” according to the district attorney.
