By The FirstCalifornia Governor Gavin Newsom wasted no time blaming Republicans for the deadly mass shooting at a Texas Elementary School Tuesday night, saying the GOP “won’t do a damn thing” to prevent gun violence.
“14 children and a teacher dead. Another shooting. And the GOP won’t do a damn thing about it. Who the hell are we if we cannot keep our kids safe. This is preventable. Our inaction is a choice. We need nationwide, comprehensive, commonsense gun safety NOW,” posted Newsom on Twitter just hours after the attack.
“Imagine how many children wouldn’t be slaughtered in school if being pro-life was more than just a talking point for Republicans in Congress,” added Rep. Adam Schiff.
