Registered democrats are becoming disillusioned with their party – and the proof is in the polls.
According to a recent Monmouth University poll, 57% of Americans believe the country is on the wrong track. If that’s not enough to deflate the Dems, a Gallup poll this week showed congress had a 26% approval rating – the lowest since January. That nose dive? Largely attributed to registered Democrats, whose support for congress fell by 16%.
“One Democratic strategist who works with major party donors said bluntly that the party is ‘f***** in the midterms if we don’t get s*** done soon,’” according to Politico.
